Ronald was born in 1920 in West Derby, Lancashire to Leopold and Esther nee Frank and he had one sister Zena. Further information will be uploaded soon.

Ronald was on duty as part of a picquet guard at RAF Lichfield. Aircraft Wellington L7815 departed for an operation to Bremen. One of the engines failed on take off and it crashed killing all five crew on board and four airmen on the picquet patrol perished when the aircraft’s bomb load exploded.
