Israel (known as Nat) was born on 1 June 1911 in Mile End Old Town to Morris and Minnie nee Titon and had one sister Esther. Their mother died in Jan 1929 and later that year their father married Minnie’s sister Sylvia. Nat married Anne Godrey in 1938 in Stepney. In 1939, they were living at 73 Litchfield Road, Stepney and Nat is listed as working as a freelance window dresser and is a member of the Auxiliary Fire Service.

Nathan died in Highgate Hospital on 4 January 1944. His death certificate states that his cause of death was Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
