Morris was born on 2 Jun 1916 in Mile End Old Town, London to Aaron and Sarah nee Snow. He married his wife Fanny Tchernoff in April 1940 in Bethnal Green.

On 13 Oct 1940 Morris was at home on leave at 25 Cranberry Street, Bethnal Green when an enemy bomb hit the house and both Morris and his wife Fanny were killed.
