The CWGC records state that Oscar’s parents were Leopold and Theresia. Leopold and Theresia were both killed in the Holocaust, Leopold in 1943 in Theresienstadt and Theresia in 1942 in Treblinka. Research has established that Oscar had a brother Rudolf who was married to Julie Weiss and they both died in the Holocaust. Another sister Katharina escaped Nazi Germany in 1939 and travelled to USA to her mother’s brother Ignatz.
