David was born in 1925 to Charles and Lucy Silverman of Brixton, London. An obituary in the Jewish Chronicle states that he lived in Uffculme, Devon and was an orphan. We are searching for further information about David’s life.

David was an air gunner on Halifax LK649 which departed RAF Croft on a night operation to Berlin. The aircraft was shot down near Canow, north of Berlin killing all the crew.
