Jack was born in 1923. The CWGC records state that his mother was Millicent of Earl’s Court. No other records of Jack can be found to date.

Jack was on board Sunderland JM709 which left RAF Pembroke Dock at 05.37 on 6 Jan 1944. It was engaged in an anti submarine patrol mission over the Bay of Biscay. The aircraft was flying in clouds and when it emerged it was spotted by the pilot of a Luftwaffe Focke-Wulf Fw.190. It was shot down and crashed some 190 km west of Brest, France. All 11 crew were killed including another Jew, Frank Wolfgang Kaufmann, who has a page on the website.
