Philipp was born 7 June 1912 in Edmonton, Middlesex the son of Albert Montefiore Hyamson OBE and Marie Rose nee Lavey. Philipp was the eldest child of four, Theodore, Vivien and Miriam. Theodore was also killed serving in WW2. Philipp was killed during a V1 attack on London.
