Isaac was born 22 October 1914 in Hackney, London to Polish father Lewis, a tailor, and Czech mother Camilla nee Frailer. His older brother Abraham died when he was twelve and he had three younger sisters, Miriam, Ruth and Lilian. Isaac worked as a textile traveller and he enlisted into the Royal Artillery on 17 July 1940. He transferred to the Army Pay Corps on 1 June 1944. He married Ida Cohen in December 1944 in Willesden and died only six months after their marriage.

Isaac died on 23 June 1945 at the Royal Infirmary hospital in Manchester. His death certificate states: Myocardial Degeneration due to congenital defect or infarction.
