Wolf was born in Poland in 1910 to Shlomo and Meriam and the family immigrated to Israel. His records state that he was enlisted locally and worked as ground crew in Egypt. He was married to Malka of Tel Aviv, Israel and they had a daughter.

It is thought that Wolf committed suicide on the 9 November 1944 by throwing himself in front of a train that was travelling from Alexandria to Rosetta. The operational record book for 294 Squadron states, ‘A court of inquiry assembled on the 14th of this month for the purpose of investigating:- the cause of death of 775207 LAC. MEIZALES, Wolf, ACH/GD of this Squadron on the 9th November at approximately 09.00 hours, and to ascertain if the death was accidental or otherwise. The funeral of this Palestinian airman took place at Chatby on the 10th November when this Squadron was represented by a party of airmen.’
