Harry was born on 18 March 1910 at 85 Oxford Street, London to Poland born parents Kolman/Solomon Goldmar and Leah nee Ogorick and he had a brother David and a sister Dinah.
In 1932, Harry married Fanny Silberstein in Stepney, London. They moved to 73 Baker Street in London where they ran a chemist shop, and Harry was a volunteer stretcher bearer. On 19 June 1939, Harry legally changed his name from Harry Goldmar to Harry Selwyn Marson.
Harry enlisted into The Queen’s Royal Regiment and was killed during the battle to take Beirut.
