Harry was born in 1906 in Leeds, the son of Morris and Fanny nee Lubin. Harry married Beatrix, known as Trixie, Zimmerman in Apr 1940 in Leeds.

Harry was based at RAF Tuddenham and was killed in an accident when he was knocked down by a jeep driven by an RAF driver who had suffered a blackout. Harry was found about 17.30 lying on the pathway of the Air Ministry road severely injured. An inquest recorded his death as misadventure.
