Samuel was born in 1900 in Rehovot, Israel to Joseph and Miriam and had six brothers and two sisters. He began his studies in the Talmud Torah and continued in elementary school there. He was a talented student and succeeded in his studies, and when he graduated from work in his family’s agricultural farm. In 1920 he went to South Africa and returned to Israel nine years later. His father purchased a plot of land for him and he planted an orchard in it and continued his agricultural work.

He volunteered as ground crew and was sent to Egypt. Samuel died on the 16th March 1941 and his cause of death is unknown to date.
