Edward (Eduard) was born on 28 December 1925 in Vienna, Austria to Isaac and Bluma nee Kozower. (Living in Israel at the time of his death). His headstone inscription states that he is mourned by his parents and sisters who were Paula and Silvia. Research is ongoing to find further information about the family.

Edward was found on the Aliens Register in 1942 which states that he was a genuine refugee and working as a solicitor’s clerk and living in Colne, Lancashire. RAF records state that in May 1943 he was an Air Training Corps Cadet.

Edward died in the RAF sick quarters at RAF Stornoway on 15 March 1945. His death certificate states that he died from ‘Heart failure following the administration of general anaesthesia. Chronic Submaxillary Lymphadenitis, 2 months’.
