Alfred (Abraham) was born on 19 Oct 1910 in Mile End Old Town, London to Harris and Sarah nee Cohen and he had two older brothers. Alfred worked as a master tailor and in 1934 he married Betty Cohen in Stepney. Their daughter Vivienne was born in 1939 when the family were living at 20 Teesdale Street in Stepney.

Details of Alfred’s service in the RAF are unknown to date. Alfred’s death certificate states that he was killed as a result of war operations and his body was found on 6th July 1944 at 47 Homefield Road, Chiswick.
