Isaac was born on 4 February 1894 in St George in the East, London to Henry and Millicent nee Jacobs.

Isaac served in WW1 originally in the Essex Regiment and Machine Gun Corps. He fought in the Balkans where he was injured on 20 September 1915 and was then entitled to wear a wound stripe. In 1917, he was commissioned and promoted to a Lieutenant in the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry and remained in the Army, eventually as a Captain, until after 1922. Isaac married Ethel Sarah Meller in April 1929 and they became silk merchants eventually living at Lancaster Gate in London.

Isaac died at Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood on 30 June 1946. His death certificate states that his cause of death was Cachexia (weakness & wasting of the body) and Multiple Myelomatosis (bone marrow cancer).
