Isaac was born on 20 July 1905 in Whitechapel to Russian born parents Myer and Pearl nee Cohen and had two sisters Pearl and Kate and a brother Joseph. Their father Myer worked as a fishmonger in Mile End, London.

Isaac married Rachel (Ray) Mendelbohn in 1928 in Stepney and their daughter Pauline was born in 1931. In 1939 they were living at 5 Pentland House, Hackney and Isaac worked as a tailors machinist. Pauline married in 1953 and emigrated to New Zealand with her husband Anthony Babot.

Isaac died in hospital in Wilmslow, Chester. His death certificate states that he died from carcinoma of the colon and his wife was present at his death.
