Harold was born on 25 July 1925 in Liverpool, Merseyside to Russian born father Abram (Abraham), a fruit merchant, and Prestwich, Lancashire born mother Leah (Lily) Pevasky.

Harold enlisted on 16 February 1944 aged nineteen and he died aged twenty-one at Broadgreen Emergency hospital, Liverpool from 1(a) Acute Liver Atrophy and (b) Homologous Serum Jaundice.

Harold is not currently recognised by the CWGC as dying in service. An appeal has been submitted and we await the outcome.
