Simon was born in 1923 in Brighton to Louis and Louisa nee Costa and he had a younger brother John. His family is being researched.

Simon was onboard Swordfish NF333 on a low level bombing range when it collided with Beaufighter RD750. The Swordfish lost control and dived into the Solent.

F/O R. Holland was injured and Simon was killed.
