Peter was born in 1921 in Steyning, Sussex to Myer Rogerginsky and Polish born Esther nee Pelter and he was the youngest of six children. Further research is ongoing into the family.

Peter was the navigator on Stirling R9279 which departed RAF Bourn on a night operation to Cologne. The air craft was lost without trace. All crew are commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.
