Their father John died six months before Tony&#8217;s death in 1943. Tony attended Dudden Hill School and then Willesden County School and was good friends with Lionel Anderson who also has a page on the website. The friends were killed six months apart and are both buried in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tony volunteered in August 1941 and after training was assigned to 101 Squadron. He was killed on his seventh operation.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tony was the wireless operator on Lancaster LM370 which departed RAF Ludford Magna on a night operation to Berlin. The aircraft was attacked by night fighters and came down at Oud Schoonebeek (Drenthe) 14 km SSE of Emmen Holland.
