Israel&#8217;s headstone states he has sisters and a brother. Research into his life and family in ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Israel was the wireless operator\/air gunner on Lancaster JB116 which departed from RAF Bardney on a night operation to attack the flying-bomb storage depot at St Leu.
