Leo was born on 10 November 1915 to Polish born Boaz and Mirjam Wolfson and had one brother Jack. Their father Boaz was born in Druja, Poland and worked as a tea merchant. In 1939, the family were living in Hampstead, London and Leo is listed as working as a stage actor. Leo attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art graduating in 1938. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leo was the navigator on Mosquito DZ644 with his pilot Harry Ernest Lloyd Griffiths, 655697. The aircraft departed RAF Upwood at 23:45 hours for an attack on oil refineries at Homberg. It was shot down by flak crossing the French coast on the return journey at 02:40 hours crashing at Leubringhen near Marquise killing both men. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
