John was born on 15 May 1922 to Henry and Hannah n\u00e9e Salomon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 1939, the family lived at 8 Moreton Road, Birkenhead where Henry ran a jewellers and silversmith shop. John had a sister Joan who married Reginald Sington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
