Lily was born in 1924. She was the adopted daughter of Samuel and Polly Linett. Her records state: ‘She joined the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force and was enrolled by the Inspectorate of Recruiting. She enlisted after August 1942’.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Further information about Lily’s life is unknown to date. Research is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Her death certificate states she died from: ‘Laceration of the brain from fracture of the temple and other injuries sustained when she accidently fell from a civilian lorry in which she was riding.’<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
