Their father worked as a cabinet maker. Saul attended school at Waterloo Road in Manchester and was a former member of the Grove House Jewish Boys&#8217; Brigade. After finishing school Saul worked with his father as a cabinet maker. His brother Joseph served in the Royal Corp of Signals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saul was the pilot of Spitfire RR205 which departed airfield B.85 Schijndel in the Netherlands on a bombing practice. He flew to the target area but even though his plane was too close to the target he dived to the ground to drop his bomb.
