HAVE PEACE, MY DARLING.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>David was born on 3 June 1924 in Ghent, Belgium. His father&#8217;s name is unknown and David&#8217;s records state that his father predeceased him. His mother was Helene Marie nee Sternefeld who moved to the USA post war and worked as a language teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David travelled to Canada for training on September 7 1942. He was flying in a Cornell aircraft when it crashed.
