As a young man, he joined the Zionist organizations &#8216;Blue and White&#8217; and &#8216;Maccabi&#8217; in which he deepened his Zionist beliefs. In&nbsp;1936, the&nbsp;family immigrated to Israel and Max studied for two years in high school and later moved to a mechanics school. He was an active member of the Maccabi movement and was one of the founders of the Northern Branch in Tel Aviv. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Max enlisted and was transferred to 42 Staging Post in Iraq.
