Levin was born on 21 Jan 1919 in Sevenoaks, Kent to Israel and Miriam nee Stone. Levin was the youngest of five children, Reka, Annie, Joel and Ruth. Levin’s grandfather also named Levin was originally from Russia and became a British citizen in 1888 and resided in Devonport, Plymouth where he worked as a building contractor. Levin’s uncle Meyer became the Mayor of Devonport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Levin was called up to service in September 1939 and trained as a pilot. He was killed flying Hurricane P2564 and his RAF career and death has been researched and written by Richard Maddox, a volunteer with the Volunteer London Blog Articles by the Imperial War Museum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
