David was born in 1912 in Paddington to Albert and Harriette nee Edwards. David’s father predeceased him in 1939. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
David joined the RAF at the age of sixteen as a Halton Apprentice in January 1928, with the service number 562061 and the rank of Aircraft Apprentice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
