Henry was born 27 Apr 1922 in St Machar, Aberdeenshire to Louis and Marie nee Mackie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Henry enlisted in Edinburgh after May 1941.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was the navigator of Stirling IV EJ116 took off from RAF Fairford on 6 June 1944 to drop paratroops at DZ\/LZ \u2019N\u2019 on D-Day. The aircraft was shot down by flak on its way to DZ and crashed 13 km east of Ranville. All crew members and 19 paratroops were killed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
