Louis was born on 1 January 1924 in Nottingham to Abraham and Dora n\u00e9e Henry and had one brother Henry. In 1939, the family were living at 247 Denman Street, Nottingham where Louis’s father Abraham worked as a hardware dealer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Louis was an air gunner in Lancaster PB412 which departed from RAF Wickenby to lay mines in the Baltic. The aircraft was lost without trace. Oblt. Rudolf Szardenings\u00a0of 5.\/NJG3 claimed a 4-engine aircraft 30km north-west of Ringk\u00f6bing at 22:05 at a height of 900 meters, his tenth victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
