Aaron was born on 23 June 1921 in Whitechapel, London to Polish born parents Szyja (Sam) Boguslawski, who worked as a hairdresser and barber and Deborah nee Collis and he had an older sister Sadie. The family surname was changed to Burson. In 1939 the family lived at 47 Chatsworth Road, Willesden. Aaron enlisted in May 1940 and trained as a wireless operator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aaron was the wireless operator on Lancaster ED542 which departed from RAF Syerston at 19.15 on a night operation to Essen. Nothing was heard from the aircraft after take off and it failed to return. The aircraft was shot down by Lt. August Geiger of 7.\/NJG1 flying from Trenthe. The aircraft crashed in the vicinity of Brunen near Wesel at approx. 23.02hrs. The crew were initially buried in Brunen Municipal Cemetery before being moved to Reichswald Forest War Cemetery. Aaron’s body was never found and he is commemorated on Runnymede Memorial. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
